Bhadohi, Oct 6 (KNS): Ferozson Exports Pvt Ltd, led by Director Sheikh Ashiq Ahmad, has been honoured with the “Navshristi 2026 – Excellence Award for Innovative Design Pattern” at the 50th India Carpet Expo – Golden Jubilee Edition in Bhadohi.

The award was presented for the company’s hand-knotted carpet following an evaluation by a jury comprising experts and academicians from institutions including IIT Delhi, National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) and IICT.

Companies representing different carpet-producing regions of India were also honoured in various categories under Navshristi 2026, celebrating the diversity and craftsmanship of the country’s handmade carpet industry.

The award was presented in the presence of CEPC Chairman Mukesh Kumar Gombar and IICT Director Prof Dr R K Varshney.

Expressing gratitude, Sheikh Ashiq Ahmad said the recognition was a proud moment and would encourage the company to continue blending traditional Kashmiri craftsmanship with contemporary design and innovation while promoting Indian handmade carpets globally.(KNS)
