Srinagar, Jan 21 (KNS) As Western Disturbances are approaching towards Kashmir; the valley is reeling under biting conditions. Earlier the Meteorological department has predicted another spell of rains and snowfall from Jan-22.
“Western disturbances are again approaching valley with we are expecting high to moderate snowfall and rainfall from 22 of Jan onwards,” MeT official told KNS.
Meanwhile the night temperature of Srinagar city was recorded minus 3.3 degree Celsius, minus 7.2 degree Celsius in Pahalgam and in world famous Ski resort Gulmarg, it was minus 10 degree Celsius," the MeT official said.
The 300-km, Srinagar-Jammu national highway remains open today and if weather remains normal the traffic will be allowed, officials at Traffic control Srinagar said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The divisional administration of Kashmir, has issued fresh weather warning in Kashmir valley, due to the weather prediction by department. The District headquarters have asked to take all precautionary measures.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, and Kupwara, have setup control rooms and asked people to contact in need.
