MeT Predicts Rain, Thunderstorm In J&K During Next 72 Hours

Srinagar, Mar 17(KNS): The Meteorological Department on Friday forecast rain and thunderstorms in Jammu and Kashmir during the next 72 hours.


The weather was cloudy in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours. An official of the Meteorological Department said, Rain/thunderstorm likely at scattered places in J&K during the next 72 hours. He said that farmers are advised to postpone spraying of orchards in this period.

Meanwhile, Srinagar recorded 6.6 degrees Celsius, Pahalgam 1.6 degrees Celsius and Gulmarg 0.5 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Friday.

Jammu recorded 14.3 degrees Celsius, Katra 12.5 degrees Celsius, Batote 7.3 degrees Celsius, Banihal 6.2 degrees Celsius and Bhaderwah 4.6 degrees Celsius as minimum temperature.

Drass recorded minus 3.6 degrees Celsius and Leh minus 3.2 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature in Ladakh region today.(KNS)
