Srinagar, May 8 (KNS): Following the devastating attack in Pahalgam, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has issued a heartfelt appeal to the leadership of both India and Pakistan, warning that rising hostilities have brought the two nations perilously close to catastrophe.
Describing the tragic loss of innocent lives including women and children on both sides, Mufti said the violence was a heartbreaking reminder of the human cost of conflict. She stressed that further military escalation would only deepen the suffering.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“There can be no military solution only more pain,” she said, urging restraint from both countries. In particular, Mufti called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to choose the path of dialogue over confrontation.
"Now, more than ever, peaceful coexistence and engagement must be our only instrument," she said, adding that only sincere and sustained diplomatic efforts can ease tensions and begin the difficult journey back to peace. (KNS)
