Srinagar, Nov 18 (KNS): People's Democratic Party (PDP) President  Mehbooba Mufti, today, extended greetings to the people on the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, which will be celebrated tomorrow.

In her message, Mehbooba Mufti observed that Guru Nanak Dev Ji was an apostle of peace, compassion and love. “The teachings of great Guru will continue to inspire future generations. Let us take a pledge to embrace the path of service to mankind and work towards laying edifice of a just and equitable society,” she added.

The PDP Chief expressed hope that the auspicious occasion would be a harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity in the state and further strengthen the bonds of communal harmony and brotherhood.

She also expressed hope that the holy occasion would bring peace, progress and prosperity and further bolster secular traditions and brotherhood, which have been unique features of J&K’s glorious past. (KNS)
