Mehbooba Mufti convenes party's meeting at her residence

Srinagar, June 30 (KNS): Six days after attending an all-party meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, People's Democratic Party chief, Mehbooba Mufti has convened a meeting of party's core group at her residence today. 

 

Sources told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the meeting was underway at Mehbooba Mufti's residence to discuss the issues that emerged during the all-party meeting at New Delhi on June 24. 

 

They said that the senior leaders including Sartaj Madni, Nizam-ud-din Bhat, Abdul Rehman Veeri, Abdul Gaffar Sofi, Dr Mehboob Beigh and Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura were present in the meeting. 

 

Pertinently, PAGD, a conglomerate of several Jammu and Kashmir political parties had called a meeting on Tuesday to discuss issued that emerged during all-party meeting, however, the meeting was postponed due to "personal engagement" of Mehbooba Mufti. To mention, Mehbooba Mufti is the vice-president of the PAGD. 

 

As per the sources, Mehbooba Mufti has called the meeting of party today to discuss several issues that emerged during the all-party meeting at PM Modi's residence in New Delhi on June 24. (KNS)
