Mehbooba Mufti, Omar Abdullah reach Bihar to attend opposition meet tomorrow

 Srinagar, June 22 (KNS): People's Democratic Party chief Mehbooba Mufti and National Conference vice-president Omar Abdullah will attend the opposition parties' meeting scheduled to be held in Bihar's Patna tomorrow. The meeting has been called by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar

Insiders told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that Mehbooba Mufti and Omar Abdullah arrived in Bihar today and will attend the opposition parties' meeting tomorrow in Patna.

Bihar chief minister had extended invitation to two parties from Jammu and Kashmir that include People's Democratic Party and National Conference to attend the meeting.

A galaxy of opposition leaders from nearly 20 parties is set to converge in Patna for the mega Opposition meet tomorrow, where they will try to chalk out a joint strategy to take on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in next year's Lok Sabha elections.

The operational goal for the Opposition meeting is said to ensure a common candidate against the BJP in at least 450 seats already identified by Nitish Kumar as potential locations to beat the BJP in the Lok Sabha polls. (KNS)
