Srinagar, Nov 06 (KNS): Member Parliament and President PDP, Mehbooba Mufti, has expressed grief over the sad demise of noted icon of journalism and Chairman, Kashmir Times Group of Publications, Ved Bhasin.
The legend of journalism, popularly known as the “Grand Old Man of English Journalism in J&K”, passed away late last night.
Bhasin remained active in journalism for nearly six decades.
Expressing heartfelt condolence with the bereaved family, Mehbooba Mufti said the deceased was an inspiring personality who with his social service and public good has inspired many and will be remembered for long.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelShe said the deceased was a humble and pious human being who would always stand by the side of needy and would be known for his uncompromising secular views and support for unprivileged sections of the society.
She expressed sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved family, in particular Anuradha Bhasin, Prabodh Jamwal and Anju Bhasin and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul. (KNS)
