Mehbooba greets people on Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW)

Srinagar, Oct 18 (KNS): Former chief minister and president of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mehbooba Mufti on Monday greeted people on the eve of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW).

In her message on the occasion, the PDP President said the Prophet (SAW) taught lessons of compassion, mercy, tolerance and brotherhood to humanity-all of which need to be vigorously inculcated in today’s strife infested world.

She added that amongst all the great gifts bestowed upon mankind by Allah, the birth of the Prophet (SAW) was the greatest and the kindest one.

“Almighty Allah sent the Prophet (SAW) as Rehmatan-lil-Aalmeen (mercy to mankind). People irrespective of caste colour and religion can seek guidance from the holy Prophet’s (SAW) teachings as he had tremendous love for humanity in general and compassion for the poor and needy in particular.

Mehbooba prayed to Almighty Allah to reignite peoples’ hearts and souls with the love of the Prophet (SAW) of Islam.

On the occasion, Mehbooba asked people to join her in prayers for end of bloodshed and return of peace with honor and dignity to Jammu and Kashmir. (KNS)
