Srinagar, 24 May (KNS): The People`s Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Dr Aijaz Ahmad Beg, brother of the party General Secretary (Organization) Dr Mehboob Beg.

 

In a statement issued here to KNS, party President Mehboba Mufti has expressed solidarity with Dr Mehboob Beg and his family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.

 

“Apart from being the son of one of the main architects of modern Jammu & Kashmir Late Mirza Mohammad Afzal Beg Sahab, Dr Aijaz was a pious soul and a great professional who devoted his life to working for people in general and marginalized sections of the society in particular. May Allah grants Jannah to Aijaz sahib and give strength to his family to bear this irreparable loss,” Mehbooba said.  

 

Meanwhile, Party Vice President A R Veeri, General Secretaries G N Lone Hanjura & Nizam ud din Bhat, Senior Leader Naeem Akhter & Chief Spokesperson Syed Suhail Bukhari and other senior leaders have also condoled the sad demise of Dr Aijaz, expressed sympathies with the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul.(KNS)
