Srinagar, Mar 01 (KNS): While welcoming the opinion made by Gur Mehar Kour, the Delhi University student, who had lost her father Captain Mandeep in Kashmir during an anti militancy operation, AIP president and MLA Langate Er. Rasheed Wednesday said that her bold expression deserves appreciation.
In a statement issued to KNS, Rasheed said that she has shown mirror to hate mongers.
Pertinently, Gur Mehar Kour had said that it was war, not Pakistan who killed her father.
While addressing various meetings in Langate and Handwara today Er. Rasheed said, “The threats being given by fanatic war mongers to Gur Mehar Kour are condemnable and deplorable. It is not only her voice but voice of every mother, father, daughter, brother or sister who has lost her dear one due to the animosity between Indian and Pakistan.”
He said that it hardly makes a difference whether the deceased is a military man, a militant, a policeman or a civilian.
“It is ironic that while Gur Mehar has revealed the truth it has made those war mongers discomfortable who are always in search to create an atmosphere of animosity between Indian and Pakistan.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelIn fact arguments of these war mongers have dashed to earth,” he said.
He said, “Gur Mehar’s voice is voice of all saner people and it has again proved that just paying homage to those Army officers or anyone else who loses his life in encounters, makes no difference to their families and wrapping their coffins in tri colour hardly matters and words of sympathy and tribute don’t bring precious human lives back”.
He added that it is strange while Gur Mehar expressed her pain, a section of ultra nationalists and fanatic radicals have started going all out against her, as she has exposed the myth of ultra nationalists and nationalism.
Er. Rasheed also appreciated a section of Vattern Indian Army Officer who backed Gur Mehar for her bold remarks and appealed the ruling class, policy makers and others, who matter, to listen to the voices and take immediate, appropriate and concrete measures to resolve J&K dispute which has proved like a man eater in the subcontinent and has left thousands of Gur Mahar’s as orphans and helpless.
