Mega Health Camp organised under banner of good governance week in Bandipora

Bandipora Dec 21 (KNS): As various programmes are being given to the people through  Abhiyan programs in each house, free medical services are being reached through health camps. In every house good governance campaign, facilities are being delivered to the common people in different parts of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir through various camps. Various tribally Hilly  areas of Bandipora District  through  such Health  camps.

Citizens of Bandipora  are happy to get various opportunities in these camps. On Wednesday, a health camp was organized in Arin sumlar area  of Bandipora ,  under  Abhiyan program.MEGA HEALTH CAMP

On Wednesday, Under the Aegies of District Development Commissioner Bandipora Dr.Owais Ahmad (IAS) Chief Medical Officer Bandipora Dr B.A. Khan,Block Medical Officer Bandipora Dr Masarat Iqbal Wani in collaboration with District Administration Bandipora, ADDC Bandipora, Mr Ali afsar,JD Planning officer Mr Imtiyaz Hussain ,while inaugurating the Mega Health Camp organized at  Bandipora, said that it is necessary to organize Health camps to connect the general public with health services and to reach the beneficiaries about the beneficial schemes of the health department. It should be our endeavor that the benefits of the schemes run by the government should reach the last beneficiary living in remote areas. 

People should be health conscious and get their tests done in time and get treatment. Better health is our greatest asset. Special contribution was made expressed hope that in future also he would continue to cooperate with the health department in the same way.

On the occasion, people were examined and screened  by Doctors  in ophthalmology, orthopedics, ENT, cardiology, urology, chest, gastroenterology, gynecologist and obstetrics, dermatology, endocrinology, child specialist, , dental, general medicine, general surgery. 

The camp was conducted in  make-shift Fisheries hatchery Arin  and in the far flung areas of Bandipora where they were screened and shifted to Bandipora for further screening,investigations and surgical treatment  with provisions for diagnosis, medicines, and surgical care. 

Number of doctors and paramedical staff specialised in surgery, ophthalmology, gynaecology, orthopaedics, general medicine, E.N.T.,  paediatrics, and General medicine  provided voluntary services at the camp dedicated to ensuring the betterment of public health, the camp saw participation by large swathes of people across all age groups.Besides ferrying of patients to and fro during the camp,free treatment, the administration has made all arrangements for patients accompanying attendants regarding medicine, etc

As of Now More than more than 500 registrations have been made so far in the camp and hundreds being provided free  medicines  for various ailments and procedures successfully as quoted by BMO Bandipora.

 Dr. Bashir Ah Chief medical officer Bandipora and Block Medical Officer Bandipora quoted as saying Everything including medicine is provided free of charge in health camps. Beneficiaries are happy with it.

Speaking to the programme incharge Dr Syed liyqat incharge of the Camp   said the camp is also help people ascertain the common issues among people in the district. The most reported issues included hypertention, fever, Flu  and respiratory disorders, diabetes, Skin aliments and anaemia.

As a part of outreach and awareness activities under Mission Youth and Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan was conducted on the directions of Health Block and District Administration Bandipora.

While in his address, Dr.owais  saidThe District Administration Bandipora   Wednesday organized a series of events in connection with the ‘Good Governance Week’ campaign organized  to facilitate prompt and efficient public grievances disposal and improved services delivery to people.

District Development Commissioner (Bandipora)Dr Owais Ahmad(IAS) , participated in the mega awareness cum grievance redressal camp at Event.

Among others, DDC Members, ADDC Bandipora, ADC Bandipora, BDC Chairperson besides other concerned officers and PRIs and public in large numbers attended the event.

On the occasion, District Development Commissioner (DDC) Bandipora , Dr Owais, presented a detailed status of the ongoing projects to the chair and highlighted sector wise progress of major projects and key flagship schemes of different sectors including R&B, RDD, PDD, PHE, Health, Social Welfare, Horticulture and Agriculture besides Animal and Sheep Husbandry in the district.

The DDC said that the Good Governance Week campaign has provided officers an opportunity to march rapidly to create a transparent and efficient Public Delivery System and to further improve governance.

As a part of outreach and awareness activities under Mission Youth and Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan , Dr Masarat Iqbal Wani. BMO organised in past various Health teams who visited places  provided awareness regarding drug abuse and it's ill effects its treatment to way out from this evil, he further said, various agencies working in the field of drug counselling care & manegement need to put joint collaborative efforts where all the partners could join hands together to weed out the social evil of drugs. During the event hundreds of people pledged to say no to drug.

Non communicable disease screening Stall Managed by Miss Shaista Shaban screened the individuals with non communicable disease and those being Screened postive were given free of cost on spot  medicines and treatment facilities.

A team of doctors, headed by  Dr Riyaz zulfi( MO) and Dr Shabir Ahmad(MO) ,Mushtaq Ahmad( cho),saifdin (HE) and other supervisory staff, Paramedics at the first stall of the camp provided free consultations to people during the camp. Tests like BP, blood sugar, Blood Grouping,  HB, etc. were offered free of cost in the camp and awareness was given to public about NCD 

RBSK Medical officer team  Dr Fouzia ,Dr Rifat headed by Dr Tariq sofi where children were screened by Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram(RBSK) Team of Block. During the screening some cases of 4Ds were detected
