MEA Announces Special Passport Drive Across Three J&K Districts

 SRINAGAR, JAN 30 (KNS) : The Ministry of External Affairs will conduct a special passport drive in Jammu and Kashmir to address the high volume of applications.

An official told News Agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the Passport Office Srinagar has announced that Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs) in Srinagar, Anantnag, and Baramulla will function on February 7, 2026 — a weekend day — for the processing of applications.
 
He said the initiative, under the central government's Passport Seva Project, aims to ensure "swift and transparent" service delivery in the Union Territory.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
 
The officer said that applicants are required to book a prior appointment for February 7 through the official website www.passportindia.gov.in, selecting their preferred time slot and centre.
 
They must report with the appointment confirmation and all necessary original documents, the officer said.
