MD JJM Directs PHE Divisions to Submit Details of Rural Piped Water Supply Schemes

Srinagar, Aug 13 (KNS): Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) J&K, Khurshid Ahmad Shah, wednesday chaired a virtual review meeting with all districts of the Union Territory to assess the status of Rural Piped Water Supply Schemes.

During the meeting, the MD sought details of rural piped schemes where multiple sources are supplying water to the same villages or habitations. He directed divisions to provide information on such “mother-child” schemes so that single IDs can be created, as per the directions of the Ministry of Jal Shakti, National Jal Jeevan Mission.

The Mission Director also reviewed the division-wise status of Har Ghar Jal reported and certified villages, instructing that physically completed schemes must be reported on priority. He was assured that the requisite information would be provided soon, and the gap between Functional Household Tap Connection (FHTC) completed villages and Har Ghar Jal reported villages would be bridged.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
