Srinagar, July 26 (KNS): Mayor Srinagar, Junaid Azim Mattu will participate in the historic 8th Muharram procession tomorrow.

Sources told KNS that Mayor Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Junaid Azim Mattu will take part in the historic 8th Muharram procession tomorrow (Thursday) from Guru Bazar to Dalgate, Srinagar.

Pertinently authorities on Wednesday decided to allow Shia community to carry out 8th Muharram procession on traditional routes.
However keeping working day into account, the authorities have directed the community members to carry out procession in the morning hours from 06:00 am to 08:00 to avoid inconvenience to general public. (KNS)
