Politics is paramount for BJP, Hindu nationalism is a sham: Sahni

Jammu JUne 01 (KNS): After 2014, such an era began in Jammu in which the potential Amritkaal for the people of Jammu turned into Vishkaal. The development of Jammu's tourist places also proved to be a gimmick. Connecting Katra directly to the railway service, stopped the Darbar Move tradition broke the economic backbone of Jammu. The efforts to speed up the economy and trade are limited to Kashmir only. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is working hard to make Kashmir prosperous for tourists. Whereas all the BJP leaders who won from Jammu division are sitting as mute spectators. During Operation Sindoor, only formality has been done regarding the rehabilitation and relief of the affected people. Being a union territory, the BJP, which is indirectly in power in Jammu, has also proved to be a mere promise to give permanent jobs to daily wagers within 10 days of victory in the assembly elections. The protest for relief to the shopkeepers affected during the road expansion near Nai Basti was limited to a mere photo shoot. Whereas the entire BJP came into action and provided relief to its business friends affected by the construction of a blind wall on the expansion of the national highway near Kunjwani. Sahni further said that no special package was given separately for the development of Jammu industries & tourist places. No pressure is being exerted on the restoration of the state status of Jammu and Kashmir along with special privileges. Sahni said that a BJP MLA from Udhampur has proved by making a shameful comment on the Indian Air Force regarding Operation Sindoor which proves that politics is paramount for the BJP, its Hindu nationalism is a sham. (KNS)
