Bandipora, May 15(KNS): Scores of senior citizens and young youth from Gundpora Rampora area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Friday in the presence of senior party leader and former minister Nayeem Akhtar.
The joining programme was held in the area where the new entrants were welcomed into the party fold by the PDP leadership. Party leaders said the development reflects growing public engagement with the party at the grassroots level.
Addressing the gathering, Nayeem Akhtar welcomed the new members into the party and said PDP stands for inclusive politics and dialogue.

He said the joining of youth and elders together reflects a shared concern for development, dignity, and political engagement. He assured the new entrants that their issues would be taken up within the party structure and at appropriate forums.
Party leaders present on the occasion said similar outreach programmes will continue in other areas of Bandipora district in the coming days.(KNS).
