Handwara, Mar 11 (KNS): A massive landslide hit the Behnipora- Satkoji road in Rajwar area of Handwara in north Kupwara district in the wee hours of Wednesday , leading to the suspension of traffic on the road linking the area with tehsil headquarters ,officials said.

The landslide, triggered by incessant rains over the past days, occurred near Khiskhi area completely blocking the road, Tehsildar Rajwar Alataf Ahamd told KNS.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Ahmad said department concerned have pressed men and machinery to open the road.
"Given the massive debris, the restoration work will take many hours.
We are on the job and are trying our best to restore the road as soon as possible," he said (KNS)
