Srinagar, Aug 20 (KNS): In continuation of the Muharram procession thousands of mourners, Friday attended a huge procession, which started from Kuthipora Magam and concluded at Agar Dangerpora led by President All J&K Shia Association Molvi Imran Reza Ansari. 

In a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), a spokesperson said that on conclusion of the procession, Molvi Imran Reza Ansari in his sermon said that Imam Hussain (RA) stands tall among the giants peppering Islam's history, revered for his tenacity, indomitable spirit, and the ultimate sacrifice he and his family made. “His spirit often inspires whenever people to stand against tyranny.”

Molvi Imran said that Imam Hussain's (AS) biggest contribution is understood to be the rejuvenation or revival of the true nature of Islam, against Yazid, who was vigorously corrupted. 

“His role, in essence, in the words of the preacher Hazrat Moinuddin Chishti (RA), also known as Khwaja Ghareeb Nawaz , is thus—

"Sar dad, na dad dast, dar dast-e-yazeed, Haqaa key binaey La ila ast Hussain", which means "Hussain gave his head but not his hand (allegiance) to Yazid, Maintainer of the truth is not anyone but Hussain." (KNS)
