  Baramulla 10 June (KNS): More than ten houses have been engulfed by fire which broke out in Noorbagh Sheikh colony of North Kashmir's Baramulla district however ten fire tenders are on job to prevent fire from further spread.

 

District Devlopment Commissioner Baramulla, Bupinder Kumar told Kashmir News Service that, " we have got around 10 fire tender vehicles from nearby fire and emergency stations, our prime focus is to control the fire and have minimum loss. 

 

"The civil administration along with army is on job. Since it's congested area, creating a little trouble for vehicle to reach the spot", he added.

 

According to eye witnesse, as many as more than 15 families were rendered homeless in the blaze.

 

According to the locals, the fire spread fast and engulfed a large number of houses.They ran out of their houses in panic as the blaze swept.The villagers tried to fought the flames to stop the fire from spreading further.

 

 However, about more than ten houses were engulfed by fire.The fire tenders are on job to fought the flames.

 

The cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained.The locals said that the cause of fire was not known as it spread fast leaving no time to salvage the belongings.

 

However an official told Kashmir News Service that the cause of fire may be the gas leakage however we are ascertaining facts behind this massive fire.

 

The efforts were on to prevent further spread of fire, while as no loss of human life was reported when this report was filed.(KNS)
