In the meeting, the route plan of the Yatra was discussed with the members of the Mobilization Committee and they were apprised of their roles and responsibilities for its preparation and implementation.

Speaking at the meeting, IYC Jt. Secretary Manpreet Singh Mani called upon the members present in the meeting to make the yatra a grand success in J&K. He also welcomed the suggestions of his fellow members regarding the yatra and discussed the ongoing preparations. The yatra as it will pass through J&K will include padayatras, rallies, and public meetings, which will be attended by the senior Congress leaders and necessary arrangements are being made in that regard. Youth Congress members have also taken up their responsibilities so that all these events can be conducted smoothly, he said. Youth Congress leaders will also be starting discussions with civil society members so that right information can reach the people who want to join the yatra, he said.

Further addressing the media, he said that the preparations for Sh. Rahul Gandhi Ji's Bharat Jodo Yatra are going on in full swing. 'He has taken a great initiative to unite the country against a fascist government and people in Jammu Kashmir are also enthusiastic to participate. The Congress party has always taken a strong stance against the BJP's divide and rule policy and this is a very good effort in that direction. He further added that the yatra is also very important and close to people's hearts, because it is bringing up a lot of issues and challenges such as unemployment, misuse of constitutional institutions, division in society, spread of hatred, farmers’ issues, and economic condition. As the yatra will enter J&K, it will also take up local issues of the people here and that is very important, as the UT continues to be ignored by the Center, this is the reason people are eagerly waiting for the yatra to arrive, Manpreet Singh Mani added.(KNS)
