Manipur incident "tragedy" for the entire country: MP Dr. Farooq Abdullah

 Srinagar, July 23 (KNS): National Conference President and Member Parliament Dr. Farooq Abdullah Sunday said that Manipur incident was a tragedy for the entire country, and urged GoI to allow constructive discussion on the matter in the Parliament so that every member can put forth his concern.

 
While speaking to reporters in Srinagar, Dr. Farooq Abdullah said Manipur incident was a tragedy for the entire country. "Manipur incident was shameful and tragedy for the entire country. It was a doomsday for every citizen of India," he said.
 
He said it is very much disappointing that people are being divided and hatred is being spread for the sake of chair. "It is disappointing why hatred is being spread for political gains. Curse on such kind of politics which divides countrymen on the lines of religion," he said.
 
He added there should a discussion on the issue and every member of the Parliament should be allowed to talk on it. "I urge GoI to allow discussion on it in the Parliament and allow members to put forth their views on it," Dr. Farooq Abdullah added. (KNS)
