Kupwara, Sep 22 (KNS): Yougal Kumar Manhas on Wednesday assumed the charge of Senior Superintendent of Police in North Kashmir's Kupwara district.

In a video message, he sought cooperation of all the stakeholders including media, trade, transport unions, civil societies and of other independent bodies to make life better in Kupwara and to ensure peace and prosperity.

Calling Narcotics a challenge, he said that all the issues will be discussed, feedback will be taken and accordingly action will be initiated.

He further said that every step will be taken to uphold the rule of Law.

Pertinent to mention here that Manhas replaced Dr. G.V Sundeep Chakaravarthy (IPS) who was transferred and posted as SSP Kulgam. (KNS)
