Hajin May, 19 (KNS) : A 32-year-old man on Wednesday jumped into river Jhelum in Hajin area of North Kashmir's Bandipora district even as police has launched a search and rescue operation. 

An official confirmed to Kashmir News Service (KNS) that Mohammad Ashraf Dar son Abdul Aziz Dar (32) of Banger Mohallah Hajin jumped into river Jehlum at Hajin Ghat.

He said that following this, a rescue team including Hajin police immediately rushed to the spot and launched searches. 

As per him search operation to trace the man in the area was going on till this news was filled.(KNS)
