Man evading arrest since 2018 in fake marks certificate case arrested: CBK

Srinagar, Dec 07 (KNS): The Crime Branch Kashmir on Tuesday said that it arrested a person accused of preparing fake marks certificate of Higher Secondary Part-II and was evading arrest since 2018.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that CBK has arrested one person namely Aejaz Ahmad Malik son of Abdul Gani Malik of Vilgam Handwara, who was involved in case FIR No: 34/2007 U/S 420,468,471,120-B RPC for preparing fake marks certificates of Higher secondary Part 2nd in order to get admission in different colleges of the valley.  

He said that the investigation of the case was closed as proved against the accused and five others and the chargesheet in the instant case was filed before the court of law on December 28, 2010, however, the accused was absconding and evading arrest since the year 2018. 

“The warrant U/S 512 was issued by the court of city judge Srinagar, accordingly the warrant was executed by crime branch Kashmir and the said accused has been arrested in the instant case,” he said. (KNS)
