Jammu Jan 09(KNS): A Mamooth Meeting of prominent kashmiri Migrants comprising of socio- political activists, philanthropist, intellectual from both camps and non camps of Jammu was held at Press Club Jammu for discussing and deliberating upon the most crucial issues and problems being faced by the community living in forceful exile for last more than thirty years viz NAFSA form, over all Amnesty for migrants and other pertinent problems being faced by the community for last more than three and a half decades.
The meeting was organized by senior leader of the community M.K.Yogi and Vinod Pandita, a notable social activist presided over the meeting.
Vinod Pandita a notable social activist while addressing the meeting highlighted the problems like return and rehabilitation issues, special recruitment drive for unemployed youth in different departments, implementation of migrant immovable property act 1997 in letter and spirit and fast track disposal of migrant grievances in Relief and Rehabilitation commissioners office Jammu. He also expressed grave concern and disappointment for not allocating any assistance in the current J&K Budget for kashmiri displaced migrants and as well appealed Governent of J&K and GOI to address the genuine problems of Kashmiri Pandits forwith.
M.K.Yogi senior leader of community who organized this mamooth meet highlighted in depth the plight of Kashmir Displaced migrants like grant of Amnesty for migrants, NAFSA form relaxation, better facilities of pure drinking water, repair and renovation of migrant quarters in all the camps who are in dilapidated condition. Yogi also appealed the Government of Jammu and Kashmir to frame an Apex committee of Kashmiri Pandits comprising of real socio political activists from camps and non camps as well head of socio political organization.
M.L. Malla who also graced the meeting , while addressing the meeting highlighted in depth the pertinent problems of the community and urged both UT and Central Governments to personally intervene and address the core issues the community is facing in exile.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe also expressed grave concern and disappointment on the current J&K budget where nothing has been given seven lakh uprooted Kashmiri Pandits.

Prof B .L.Zutishi also addressed the assembly and appealed the community activists and leaders to work more concertedly and unitedly so that their problems are addressed at the earliest by raising above their party and political affiliations.
Kuldeep Kashmiri another notable social activist while speaking on the occasion highlighted the crucial issues of the community like NAFSA form, bifurcation issues and urged the Concerned department to streamline the working of the organization for fast disposal of the migrant grievances. He also advocated for a formation of an Apex committee
Other prominent members who spoke on the occasion were Mohan Lal comrade , Nazir Ahmed, Sunil Bhat, Harmohinder Singh, Ravinder Kumar Bakshi, Dr.Romesh Bhat, Dr.T.K.Bhat, P.K.Raina, Raju Sehgal, Nana Ji wattal, Sunderi Lal Koul, Ravinder Koul, Ashok Kumar Dhar, Abhay Bakaya, Anu Ji Koul J.L.Pandita, P.K.Raina, M.K.Koul, Navin Bushan Handoo, Rakesh Koul and others.
In the end the resolutions including concrete return and rehabilitation policy for KP, enhancement of Relief , ten thousand new posts for educated unemployed displaced youth and doling out of left out compensation to damaged/gutted properties of migrants were passed with one voice in the meeting and it was adopted unanimously with one voice to work more concertedly on all above issues adopted in the meeting in future and the vote of thanks was presented by Abhay Bakaya, a young KP leader.(KNS).
