Srinagar, Dec 21 (KNS): Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation front on Thursday visited the residence of a slain woman, Ruby Jan at Batmurran Shopian to express solidarity with the bereaved family.
In a statement issued to KNS, Malik said that the killing innocents under the garb of encounters and putting properties to flames and even not sparing dumb cattle is uncovering the ‘brutal face’ of Indian democracy in Kashmir. “Cries of little Azra, daughter of martyred lady Ruby Jaan is piercing our hearts and soul,” he said.
Earlier, according to the spokesman, Malik along with Zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, district president Pulwama Javed Ahmad Butt and others reached Shupian and straightaway went to the house of martyred lady Ruby Jaan.
“Malik left Srinagar this morning without informing anyone and after evading police barricades and check posts for which he had to walk on foot for miles, reached Batmoran. He visited the bereaved family of martyr Ruby Jaan and martyrs Tanveer Ahmad and expressed solidarity with them,” the spokesman said.
“When people of the area heard about the news of Yasin sahibs’ arrival, they rushed to the house of martyrs and greeted Malik and others with enthusiastic slogans in favor of martyrs’, freedom movement and unity,” the statement added.
Malik as per the statement was told that this innocent lady was inside her house when ‘killer Indian forces’ fired at her and killed her in cold blood. “People told Yasin that the house where she fell to the bullets of Indians is quite far from the encounter sight. He was only shown the bullet marks and lethal holes on the window of her house,” the statement said, adding that Malik met with her husband, mother and her little daughter Azra.
“Emotional scenes were witnessed during this meeting,” the statement said.
After meeting and consoling the bereaved family, Malik addressed a gathering.
In his address, Malik said that Ruby Jaan was slaughtered inside her house and to cover this heinous crime a story of her participating in a protest was cooked up by the killers and their abettors.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“Martyr Misra Bano of Younis Handwara was also killed in same manner and she also has left a little daughter behind her,” he said, adding that this is how Indian occupation is working in Kashmir and this is for what its trigger happy forces are deployed in Jammu Kashmir.
Malik said that international community should see the truth behind Indian democracy in Jammu Kashmir. “Indian forces have gone berserk in Kashmir and are killing humans with impunity but the international community which always champions the cause of human rights is maintaining a criminal silence on this and in fact abetting Indian aggression on innocent Kashmiris,” the JKLF chief said.
He said that when human killings are glamorized and celebrated and when trade and commerce become more important than the high values like human life and dignity, dooms day should not be far off and no one can save this earth from becoming a much worse place to live on.
While asking people to distinguish between friends and enemies, JKLF chairman said that “Indian rulers, local government in Kashmir including all pro-India politicians, political parties, assembly members and rulers are directly responsible for these killings because it is these people who are legalizing these killings and providing necessary legal cover to the killers.”
While paying tributes to selfless martyrs, Malik said “as a nation we are indebted to these great souls.”
After the completion of his Shopian tour, Malik visited Bijbihara and expressed condolences to Hurriyat leader Ghulam Nabi Sumji at the demise of his sister.
While praying for the heavenly abode of the deceased, Malik also prayed for the Sabr I Jamil of her bereaved family.
Malik also expressed grief over the demise of cousin of DFP leader sheikh Zameer Ahmad and expressed condolences to his bereaved family. (KNS)
