Srinagar, Mar 28 (KNS): Condemning the attack in Lahore, Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik Monday said that the attack in Lahore has tarnished every human heart and mind. “The perpetrators of this attack cannot be termed as human and part of civilized world,” he said.
In a statement issued to KNS, Malik said that the Kashmiris condemn this heinous criminal attack and expresses their condolences to the bereaved families.
While terming the attack as an attack on whole humanity, JKLF chairman said that attacking innocent people, children and women can only be termed as barbaric and inhuman and people who do these kind of criminal acts can only be named as savages.
He said that Islam and all other religions have clearly prohibited attacking innocents, children and women. “Even Islam teaches us to protect trees and greenery during war times,” Malik said.
While expressing condolences to the bereaved families who lost their kith and kin in Sunday’s attack, Malik said that people of Kashmir stand by their bereaved families.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Monday took out a protest demonstration in Maisuma locality to condemn the Lahore attack in which 72 people were killed while more than 200 sustained injuries.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Led by the JKLF vice chairman advocate Bashir Ahmad Bhat, JKLF leaders and activists including vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakshi secretary general Gulam Rasool Dar (EIDI), zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwl etc were present in the protest.
While terming the Lahore attack as ‘against humanity’, Bhat appealed the world community to intervene and stop such acts.
The protesters were chanting slogans and were holding banners displaying ‘we condemn massacre of innocent people’.
“The terror attack is against humanity and against all religions in the world. The world community should not watch such events as mute spectators. Every human being and nation must join hands to condemn and stop such attacks,” Bhat told reporters.
The protestors later dispersed peacefully.
At least 72 people were killed and over 200 injured when terrorists carried out a bomb attack in a park in Lahore on Sunday. (KNS)
