Srinagar, Dec 31 (KNS): The Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation President Mr Haji Mohammad Yasin Khan has expressed serious concern over the remand of JKLF Chairman Mohammad Yasin Khan who has been booked for attempt to murder.
“This is really ridiculous and illogical that man in Kashmir is booked for attempt to murder only because he was protesting murder of three civilians including mother-son duo by Village Defence Committee members in Jammu province,” Khan said in a statement to KNS.
He said it was the demand of every sensibly person that the infamous VDCs be disbanded be disbanded with immediate effect. “Even as VDC has killed three Muslims in cold blood, the RSS Bhagats want that these gunmen be given sophisticated weapons,” Khan said in his message to Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed who is also the Home Minister.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“Let’s call a spade a spade. VDC has become new Ikhwan which is being used to crush the Muslims in Jammu province,” Khan said.
He said given the terror unleashed by gun wielding March by RSS cadres in Jammu, if government was honest it should have provided arms to all Muslims of Jammu province who felt unsafe. “But it is a known fact that RSS wants its goons to be armed so that innocent people continue to feel unsafe,” Khan said.
Asking the government to release Malik forthwith, Khan said such suppressive tactics will only further the wedge between the government and people.
“Yasin Malik is the voice of Kashmir, by putting him to undue remand the government is trying to keep the integrity of Kashmir suppressed and this is intolerable,” he said. (KNS)
