'Afzal Guru’s sacrifice an indelible chapter of Kashmir history'

Srinagar, Feb 09 (KNS): Incarcerated Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik while paying glowing tributes to Shaheed Muhammad Afzal Guroo has said that Kashmiris will continue their struggle till the desired goal is not achieved and India does not return the mortal remains of Shaheed Muhammad Maqbool Bhat and Shaheed Muhammad Afzal Guroo.
Meanwhile Crackdown on JKLF continues as chairman JKLF Muhammad Yasin Malik along with leaders Mushtaq Ajmal, Ashraf Bin Salam and Ghulam Muhammad Dar continue to remain in Srinagar central jail while as district President Budgam Gulzar Ahmad Pahalwan was also arrested by police last night.
Police also raided the residence of martyr Muhammad Maqbool Butt at Trehgam and were looking for his younger brother Zahoor Ahmad Butt. Police also raided the residence of JKLF vice chairman master Muhammad Afzal, zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal, zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, district presidents Bashir Ahmad Rather( Boya), Muhammad Rafiq War and Activits Mushtaq Ahmad.
Incarcerated JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik in a message sent from central jail Srinagar has said that martyr Muhammad Afzal Guroo like martyred father of nation Muhammad Maqbool Butt kissed gallows but refused to budge before oppression and tyranny.
He became a victim of Indian enmity towards Kashmiris and was illegally sent to gallows and even denied a proper burial. He said that Afzal’s sacrifice is an indelible chapter of Kashmir history and no Kashmiri will forget the tyrannical attitude of Indian state regarding Muhammad Afzal Guru shaheed. “Shaheed Afzal followed father of Kashmiri Nation Muhammad Maqbool Bhat and kissed gallows without budging before the tyrants. Nation of Kashmir owes debt to him for his resolve and determination,” he said.
Mohammad Yasin Malik said that, “martyr Muhammad Maqbool Bhat was an ideologue and leader while Muhammad Afzal Guru became his successor who kissed gallows like Maqbool sahib.”
He said that, “the sacrifices of Muhammad Afzal Guru, the oppressive measures, and persecution he and his family faced at the hands of India is part of our resistance history.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelSame tyranny and repression was faced by Maqbool Bhat and his family 32 years ago and that too at the hands of same Tyrants.”
He said that Indian rulers who have done this injustice to Kashmiris will have to answer for their crimes because this is the law of nature.
JKLF chairman said that Indian state by hanging Shaheed Mohammad Afzal Guru showed their hatred against Kashmiris and the limit of their oppression is such that they after hanging our beloved leaders they denied them a proper burial and their families a chance to meet them before being hanged.
Mohammad Yasin Malik said that, “people of Jammu Kashmir will not forget the sacrifices of martyrs neither will we ever forget the tyrant and oppressive measures of India. We will keep protesting against this oppression and we will keep demanding the mortal remains of our beloved martyrs Muhammad Maqbool Bhat and Muhammad Afzal Guru.”
JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik while thanking the people of Kashmir for observing complete shutdown said that Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front will organize a protest march at Lal Chowk on 10th February 2016 in which an appeal will be made to UN and international community to press upon India to return the mortal remains of Shaheed Muhammad Maqbool Bhat and Shaheed Muhammad Afzal Guru back to the people of Kashmir.
Meanwhile JKLF organized a condolence meeting at Mazar I Shuhada Eidgah. Led by Zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri this meeting was attended by many JKLF activists including district president Ganderbal Bashir Ahmad Boya, Imtiyaz Ahmad, Fayaz Ahmad, Shakir Ahmad, Suhail Ahmad.
A prayers meeting was held for father of nation Muhammad Maqbool Butt, martyr Shaheed Afzal Guru and others.
Also JKLF district president Bandipora Syed Nisar Jeelani along with senior JKLF members from Baramullah including Muhammad Altaf Gojri, Ghulam Qadir Khan,Khizar Muhammad etc participated in a condolence meeting held at the residence of martyr Muhammad Afzal Guru and paid rich tributes to the martyr.
