Srinagar, Jan 24 (KNS): Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik on Tuesday strongly condemned the ongoing oppression, raids, searches and other ‘acts of suppression’ in Kashmir valley which are being conducted in the name of Indian democracy.
While terming this oppression as ‘ugly’, JKLF chairman in a statement issued to KNS, said, “When Kashmiris protest peacefully for their rights, they are brutalized by bullets and pellets. Pellets are showered on them to kill or to snatch their eyesight so that they are forced to live as handicapped.”
He said that if same kind of protest is held in any Indian city like Chennai and even if the protest turns most violent, no one is hit by pellets, bullets or Pawa shells.
Malik said, “The hollowness of Indian democracy and the battle of ideas is such that if any Kashmiri kid designs a parallel calendar to one issued by the repressive government, he is arrested, tortured and put behind the bars for that.”
JKLF chief said that this double standard clearly shows that Jammu Kashmir is not any part of India and people of Jammu Kashmir are fighting against the illegal Indian occupation and enduring its oppression and tyranny.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
