Srinagar, Jan 07 (KNS): Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik Saturday strongly condemned the attack on a Ladakhi girl who is perusing MBBS in a Jammu college.
Terming the attack on the chastity of this sister as ‘a heinous crime’, JKLF chairman in a statement issued to KNS, said, “Stern punishment should be given to the person involved in this odious crime.”
JKLF chairman expressed solidarity with the attacked girl and his family.
While condemning the re-arrest of JKLF leader Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Hurriyat spokesman Muhammad Akbar Ayaz, Resistance leader, Moulana Sarjan Barkati and many others and also the continues house arrest of JKLF vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, Malik said that these people have been released by court but police is keeping these leaders and other people in jails and police stations illegally.
The statement reads that it is worth to mention that high court recently quashed the PSA on Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Akbar Ayaz, Moulana Sarjan Barkati and others but police after re-arresting these leaders has not yet released them.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The statement added that similarly JKLF leader Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi was released on court orders but has been placed under house arrest immediately after his release.
Malik also condemned the prolonged incarceration of JKLF Zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, District president Ganderbal Bashir Ahmad Rather (Boya), JKLF activists Fayaz Ahmad Mir of Gander bal, Shabir Ahmad Ganaie of Kakapora Pulwama, Mushtaq Ahmad Mir of Kupwara, Assadullah Sheikh of Kulgam, Molvi Reyaz of Sopore, Muhammad Ishaaq Malik Kokernagh, sahib khan Trehgam, Ghulam Mohi Ud Din Kunanposhpora etc…
Meanwhile JKLF has paid rich tributes to martyr Movli Muzaffar of Sopore and expressed solidarity with his bereaved family. A high level JKLF delegation led by leader Zahoor Ahmad Butt accompanied by various office bearers of district body Baramullah visited the bereaved family and expressed solidarity with them. JKLF leader while paying tributes to martyr Muzafar said that the sacred blood of these martyrs will never go in vain. (KNS)
