‘Welcomes debate on Kashmir in British parliament’

Srinagar, Jan 20 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) on Friday said that the party chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik was today arrested by police and immediately shifted to central jail Srinagar.
According to the statement issued to KNS, the JKLF spokesman said, “Police and forces today after noon raided the residence of JKLF chairman and after taking him into custody immediately shifted him to central jail Srinagar.”
The spokesman said that before being sent to central jail Srinagar, JKLF chairman while talking to media persons said that the rulers who are not tired of propagating their democratic credentials have yet again chose to put him behind bars as they are not able to compete with the resistance camp on political levels.
He said, “Recently the Chief Minister made much noise in the state assembly about no one being re-arrested after court orders but contrary to her tall claims hundreds of young and old whose PSA has been quashed by court or who have been granted bail are being kept illegally in police stations after re-arresting them and their families are also being terrorised by police.”
He said that double speak and politics of deceit has become the trade mark of PDP led rule in J&K that on one side is trampling every norm of democracy and decency and on the other hand is posing to respect democracy and freedom of expression and ideas.
Malik said that from 10 year children to 80 year old ill men are in jails and incarceration centres’ and this suppression of peaceful voices is enough evidence for proving these rulers are tyrants and oppressors.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
JKLF chief said that jails and police stations are like another home for resistance lovers and the rulers should bear in mind that these oppressive tactics will yield them nothing but shame.
He said that Jails and incarcerations cannot deter us from perusing the path of truth and resistance and our journey for freedom will continue with passion and zeal.
Welcoming the debate held in British parliament yesterday on Jammu Kashmir in which majority of the British parliamentarians’ supported the right of self determination of the people of Jammu Kashmir and also condemned the brutal use of force by Indian army and forces against Kashmiris, JKLF chairman said that international community has an obligation to work for the resolution of all conflicts like Jammu Kashmir as this is mandatory for the lasting peace and prosperity of the whole mankind.
He said, “Sooner these issues, conflicts and disputes confronting and jeopardizing the peace and progress of humans are resolved, better it will be for the future of the whole world.”
Malik hoped that better sense will prevail and international community rising above the considerations of its business and economic interests will work for poor and subjugated people and ensure and safeguard their rights too. (KNS)
