JKLF Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik and vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi were placed under house arrest from last night as many more JKLF leaders and workers including vice chairman JKLF advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt, vice chairman Mushtaq Ajmal, Professor Javed and Shahid Makaya were arrested near Ganderbal.
JKLF district president Ganderbal Bashir Ahmad Boya was also arrested before program. Despite arrests and restrictions, JKLF leaders including Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Muhammad Yasin Butt, Sheikh Abdul Rashid and Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri managed to reach Ganderbal where they organized a public program and protest.
According to a statement issued to KNS, arrests, restrictions and ban on peaceful political activities have exposed Indian democracy and tall claims of so-called battle of ideas doctrine. Orders like Ban on beef are an act to torpedo religious harmony of Jammu Kashmir.
This was stated by JKLF leaders Noor Muhammad Kalwal and Sheikh Abdul Rashid while addressing a large gathering at central Chowk of Ganderbal today. Noor Muhammad Kalwal and others, who managed to reach Ganderbal despite police restrictions and barriers, led a enthusiastic procession from central Jamia to Chowk. Participants of the procession raised slogans in favor of freedom, martyrs, leaders and resistance.
Slogans were also raised against laws like ban on beef and oppressive measures like arrest and restrictions. At central Chowk JKLF Zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal and zonal general secretary sheikh Abdul Rashid addressed enthusiastic gathering.
Speakers while condemning the house arrest of JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik and spree of arrests said that India and its stooges have choked every space for peaceful political activities and by doing so they are promoting actually promoting violence. He said that young boys are being arrested, tortured and pushed to the wall which is highly condemnable. He said that today’s arrest and restrictions clearly show the level of frustration of so called rulers who are not able to compete with Mohammad Yasin Malik and the resistance camp politically and instead are using police force to harass and restrict them .Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Speakers said that after the installation Of PDP government in Jammu Kashmir, these restrictions and acts like blanket ban on political activities have increased. Speakers said that rulers who used to hoodwink public opinion by their sugar coated slogans like battle of ideas and no bullet but talks stand fully exposed now.
Speakers while condemning the politically motivated court orders banning bovine (beef) said that orders like these will inflate hatred and torpedo the religious harmony in Jammu Kashmir.
Speakers said that ban imposed on beef by Jammu high court is direct interference in religious affairs of Muslims. These new kind of issues are carved only to divert attention of people from Kashmir issue and implement RSS agenda on Kashmir. Muslims of Jammu Kashmir will never accept these politically motivated orders and a stiff resistance will be given to all such acts. Speakers appealed people to observe a total protest strike against these dictatorial and politically motivated orders on Saturday 12th September 2015.
Speakers said that at the behest of RSS, PDP/BJP coalition is carving new issues on daily basis. This is being done to divert attention of people from Jammu Kashmir issue and confuse them. He said that India and its stooges should bear in mind that Kashmiris will safeguard their religious sentiments and norms and also keep striving for their freedom at any cost and these kinds of acts and orders cannot turn us away from our goal. Speakers said that Muslims only adhere and accept commands of Allah and his last messenger (SAW) and any orders against these two sacred scriptures will face a stiff resistance from us. (KNS)
