Chairman JKLF Muhammad Yasin Malik along with other leaders Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, Muhammad Amin (Mugal) and Shabir Ahmad Dabla are still in police custody and lodged at police station Sopore, spokesman of the front said.
“Mohammad Yasin Malik and others were arrested near Sopore as they were travelling towards Sopore to express solidarity with the bereaved families of those martyred at Pattan on 14th September 2015,” spokesman of the front said in a statement to KNS.
While condemning the arrest and prolonged incarceration of JKLF chairman and others, front spokesman has said that “oppression and suppression has touched new heights” and even expressing condolences to the bereaved families has been banned by Mufti led PDP-BJP regime.
Spokesman said that JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik and others were going to Sopore to meet bereaved families but as they reached near Sopore, police arrested them and from yesterday the arrested have been kept at Sopore police station. He said that so-called rulers by imposing a blanket ban on peaceful political activities are promoting violence and pushing Kashmiris to the wall.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said that so- called rulers and their masters in Delhi will get nothing but shame from these barbaric and undemocratic acts and Kashmiris despite all these oppressive acts will continue striving for their freedom. Thanking people for their support to the strike call against brutal killings at Pattan and Tangmarg, JKLF spokesman said that people through their protest have expressed their support to the freedom struggle and also have revealed their anger against these brutal, inhuman and barbaric killings.
Meanwhile JKLF has paid rich tributes to martyr Sheikh Yasir Rafiq of Maisuma who embraced martyrdom in 2010. Martyr Yasir was cousin brother of JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik .Martyr Yasir @ Raja was brutally killed when police resorted to unprovoked firing at Maisuma in 2010. He was the only son of his parents. Till date no guilty police person has been penalized for the crime and despite tall claims present regime in Jammu Kashmir is engaged in giving protection to the killers of 2010. (KNS)
