Srinagar, Oct 20 (KNS): Chairman JKLF Muhammad Yasin Malik was arrested along with many others in an injured condition near Anantnag when he was leading a peaceful protest march towards Anatnag town against the brutal killing of innocent Zahid Rasool Butt and attacks on Kashmiris and Indian Muslims by Hindu chauvinists forces, spokesman of the front said.
Malik had announced a 24 hour token hunger strike and sit-in against Zahid’s killing and attacks on Muslims while speaking to a gathering at Biotengoo Bijbihara.
The spokesman said that among those arrested along with Malik included JKLF leaders Muhammad Yasin Butt, Muhammad Sideeq Shah, Sheikh Abdul Rashid, Hurriyat leader Javed Ahmad Mir,, Muslim conference(s) chairman Shabir Ahmad Dar, human rights activist Muhammad Ahsan Unto, Hurriyat leader Mukhtar Ahmad Sofi and DFP leader Farooq Ahmad Khan etc .Police has also arrested Mirwaiz south Kashmir Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir from his residence at same time.
Malik and other arrested have been lodged at Police Station Sadder Anantnag.
Prior to this Yasin Malik along with a delegation managed to reach Biotengoo Bijbihara after bypassing many police hurdles and barricades. Malik and others went to the residence of innocent martyr Zahid Rasool and participated in a condolence meeting there.
While speaking to the people present on the occasion, Malik said that Kashmiris will not remain silent on these attacks by Hindu chauvinists backed by so-called Kashmiri rulers. He said that on one hand our young ones are burned alive and their dead bodies are handed over to us and on the other hand shameless rulers impose curfew, unleash terror and stop us even from mourning. He said that the rulers who have sold out their conscience for power and handed over Jammu Kashmir to RSS like forces are directly responsible for these attacks and killing of innocent Zahid.
Yasin Malik said that Kashmiris will resist all these tactics and oppressive actions of Indian forces and Hindu terrorists and will not budge before these hypocritical rulers.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Yasin Malik said that today pro-India politicians and rulers are shedding crocodile tears and trying to deceive Kashmiris yet again but these shameless people should bear in mind that they along with their masters in Delhi and Indian democracy have been fully exposed now.
On the occasion Mohammad Yasin Malik announced that protesting against Zahid killing was our right and we will march to Islamabad Chowk and hold a 24 hour long token hunger strike and sit-in against it. He announced that our March and sit-in will be totally peaceful and we will raise voice against forces of tyranny, oppression and forces of hatred. Soon after the speech of Yasin Malik sahib, people in large numbers marched towards martyr’s graveyard Biotengoo and offered Fateh to the martyrs. From martyrs graveyard led by Yasin Malik, people marched towards Islamabad town but as soon as they reached on the highway, police and CRPF in large number surrounded them and started an unprovoked cane charge and teargas, pepper gas shelling on the protesters.
Dozens of peaceful protesters along with Yasin Malik, Shabir Ahmad Dar, Muhammad Ahsan unto were injured in police /CRPF cane charge.
On the occasion Yasin Malik and others were taken into custody in injured condition and shifted to police station.
A JKLF spokesman while condemning the arrests, unprovoked use of brutal force, curfew and restrictions and arresting Yasin Malik and others in injured condition, has said that unleashing terror against mourning people has exposed the hypocritical politics of so-called rulers and it has been proved beyond doubt that these shameless rulers are appointed only for one job of safeguarding the interests of India and its forces and that these shameless leaders can go to any extent in their Muslim and Kashmir enmity.
