Srinagar, Dec 24 (KNS): ANC President Begum Khalida Shah on Thursday complimented the people of Jammu and Kashmir for coming out in large numbers and stamping their approval for People’s Alliance candidates, signalling to the country the need for immediate restoration of Article 370 & 35A abrogated "unconstitutionally" and "illegally" by the Narender Modi Govt on 5th Aug 2019.

According to KNS, the ANC president said that an overwhelming majority has reposed their faith in the agenda chalked out by the Peoples Alliance primarily for restoration of the Special Status of J&K State as laid down in the Constitution of India. The people have alongside handed over the responsibility on the shoulders of the Peoples Alliance to carry out the task for development at the Panchayat levels.

ANC president said the BJP Govt has stooped to new levels of political "witch hunting" with blatant misuse of agencies going on a free spree of arrests, raids and harassment which are highly condemnable. "These measures will not deter us from pursuing our laid down policies", she added.

She also said that it is shameful for the BJP and it’s allies to lure and coerce the independents with intimidation and money power. (KNS)
