Srinagar, Nov 07 (KNS): In a major demolition drive launched today in Srinagar against encroachments on state/common land, approximately 22 kanals of land where retrieved from encroachers in Shalteng area of Srinagar district. Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr Syed Abid Rasheed Shah personally monitored the demolition drive which was carried out by a joint team of revenue ,police and SMC officials including SP West Srinagar,SDM West, Tehsildar Shalteng, SDPO West, SHO concerned, revenue & SMC officials .During the demolition drive the team of officials led by the deputy commissioner ceased the construction material used for carrying out illegal constructions.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
As per the DC the anti encroachment drives would be carried out in all areas of the district to ensure that state and Kahcharie land is retrieved from encroachers.
The deputy commissioner appealed the general public to bring to the notice of revenue officers and the DC office any instances or attempts of encroachment on state/kahcharie land. Further any violations which involve encroachment on state/common land shall be dealt with very firmly as per law as per the DC. (KNS)
