Budgam, Aug 11 (KNS): A solemn Majlis-e-Aza was organized by the Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian Jammu and Kashmir at Yagipora, Magam, on Tuesday to commemorate the Wisaal (demise) of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hasan (AS). The religious congregation witnessed the participation of thousands of devotees from across the region.
Addressing the gathering, the President of Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian Jammu and Kashmir, Hujjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimeen Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Al-Safavi, underscored the profound significance of Salawat (sending blessings) upon Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his progeny. He stated that the Holy Quran commands believers to invoke blessings upon the Prophet, describing Salawat as an expression of love and devotion to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and allegiance to the Ahl al-Bayt (AS). Aga Syed Hassan remarked that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) holds the highest rank among all prophets and messengers, presenting a perfect model of guidance, morality, and piety for humanity .

Reflecting on the tragedy of Karbala, Aga Syed Hassan stated that the supreme sacrifice of Imam Hussain (AS) conveys an everlasting message of patience, steadfastness, and unwavering commitment to truth. He emphasized that the remembrance of Karbala should not remain confined to mourning alone, but its transformative message must inspire practical life. He called upon believers to make piety, morality, justice, and solidarity with the oppressed the guiding principles of their lives, drawing from the lives of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) .
The Majlis concluded with special prayers for peace, security, and the welfare of the country and the Muslim Ummah. (KNS)
