Majlis-e-Aza Held Across Kashmir to Mark Demise of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Martyrdom of Imam Hasan (AS)

Srinagar August 12 (KNS) : Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian organised special religious gatherings and Majalis-e-Aza across various parts of the Valley to commemorate the demise of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hasan al-Mujtaba (AS).

Major gatherings were held at Markazi Imambara Budgam and Qadeemi Imambara Hassanabad Srinagar, while Majalis were also organised at Yal Kunzer, Bona Mohalla Nowgam, Gamdoo, Odina Sonawari, Wanihama Beerwah and other areas, drawing large gatherings of mourners and devotees.

Addressing a large gathering at Qadeemi Imambara Hassanabad Srinagar, President of Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian, Hujjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimeen Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Al-Safavi, shed detailed light on the circumstances surrounding the demise of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and its profound impact on the Muslim Ummah.

He said the departure of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) from the temporal world was an immense loss for humanity and the entire creation, adding that mourning and expressing grief on the occasion remains an expression of deep love and devotion towards the Prophet (PBUH).

He clarified that mourning the Prophet’s demise in no way contradicts the belief in the continuing spiritual life and exalted status of the Prophet (PBUH), but reflects the profound emotional bond of the believers with him.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Aga Syed Hassan also elaborated on various aspects of the life and character of Imam Hasan al-Mujtaba (AS), saying that the Imam made the ultimate sacrifice by relinquishing outward political authority in order to safeguard Islam and protect the Muslim community from a devastating internal conflict.

He said the Muslim Ummah at the time was deeply divided and had reached a situation where Muslims were prepared to shed one another’s blood. In such circumstances, Imam Hasan’s decision was guided by the larger interests of Islam, the preservation of the faith and the protection of Muslim unity.

Reflecting on the difficult phases of Imam Hasan’s life, Aga Syed Hassan said that the Imam remained steadfast on Islamic principles despite facing intense opposition and difficulties. He said Imam Hasan (AS) responded to the circumstances of his time with profound wisdom and foresight, while remaining firmly committed to the principles of Islam.

He emphasised that the peace agreement of Imam Hasan (AS) is not merely a historical episode but remains, for all time, a guiding principle for Muslim unity, fraternity, political wisdom and the preservation of the broader interests of the Islamic community.
