Srinagar, Nov 17 (KNS): Amid reports of surrender by the young footballer of Anantnag, Majid Khan, police said that he has responded to his parents’ appeals and come back to his family.
“His (Majid Khan’s) parents had made appeals to him to return. I think he has responded to those appeals,” Director General of Police, JK, Dr Sesh Paul Vaid, told KNS.
“He has come back to his family,” Dr Vaid said.

Khan, 20, had reportedly joined Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) nine days ago and was spotted at the funeral of slain Hizb militant, Muzamil Manzoor of Badroo of Kulgam district few days ago.
Khan’s mother had made passionate appeals to her only son to return home, and his father Irshad Khan had suffered a mild attack after rumours of his son being trapped in Kund, Kulgam encounter with security forces. But the rumours were not true. (KNS)
