MAC organizes open pubic debate in Srinagar

Srinagar Aug 17:(KNS)  MAC, continuing with series of free public debates, an Evening Convocation was  organized on 15 August on the momentous occasion of 75 years of Independence by MAKE A CHANGE (MAC) organization at Nishat Garden, Srinagar. Scores of people including panelist from across the UT participated in the event that lasted for more than two hours. The speakers highlighted the need for new leadership, a positive response from the State and sanctity of democratic institutions. 
'The opportunistic people who are occupying the media attention through pseudo activism need to be ignored', opined President MAC Sheikh Younis in his address.
'This new vigour in the society is a river that will make it's way forward' , said Secretary MAC Tariq Rashid.
The Panelists who participated in the Conclave were, Former MLA Javed Hassan Beigh , Senior Political Activists Basharat Hussain , Tejinder Singh , Muzaffar Reshi , Sheikh Minhaj , Renowned Academician Rayees Masroor and Top Economist Shabir Ahmed Shah.(KNS)
