Jammu, Jan 28 (KNS): Senior National Conference leader and MLA Sonawari Mohammad Akbar Lone here on Saturday sought immediate review of PSA cases and directions to District SPs for stopping backdoor engagement of special police officers on the recommendations of MLAs forthwith.
According to KNS Correspondent covering the assembly proceedings, speaking on motion of grants of the Home Department Lone sought the immediate intervention of the Chief Minister into the review of the detainees facing charges of involvement in militancy related incidents and street protests and immediate withdrawal of PSAs against those who are not involved in heinous crimes.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He regretted that unfortunately even some Imams of mosques have been arrested on charges of involvement in stone pelting incidents and PSAs have been slapped on them and sought the intervention of Chief Minister on immediate review of such cases. He even mentioned the places where Imams of mosques have been detained under PSA.
He also sought immediate implementation of the previous government’s decision on establishing a Degree College at Hajin. (KNS)
