Srinagar, Mar 24 (KNS): The residents of Watergam Rafiabad Saturday staged protest against the Power Development Department (PDD) for failing to provide adequate electricity to them from past several weeks.
The residents blocked Baramulla-Kupwara highway for hours and also lock down the PDD receiving station Watergam to mark a protest against the department.

The protesting residents blamed PDD of ‘indifference’ towards the locals of Watergam.
They also blamed government of neglecting the people despite many promises.
Later after assurance by the higher authorities of PDD dept, the residents opened the lock of receiving station and the traffic was also restored. (KNS)
