Locals face problems as Street lights not working properly in Baramulla Town

Baramulla 16 April (KNS) : The residents of Baramulla town are facing inconvenience in the Month of 'Ramzan' due to faulty of street lights in several areas of north Kashmir’s Baramulla town,locals accusing the Municipal Committee of acting as mute spectators.

As per the official reports, out of 900 street light around 350 lights are lying defunct from several months as the local municipality lacks the work force to get them fixed. So, it plunged several areas into darknes in the Holly month of Ramzan.

The officials of the municipal council Baramulla here in north Kashmir's town started the repairment of all street lights, which were defunct from years and the people of the areas were facing hardships..

Meanwhile Chairman municipal council Baramulla Touseef Raina while talking to KNS,he said that they started the repairment of all street lights mostly at Azadgung bridge, cement bridge, Tehsil road,khanpora bridge and main chowk  and at other locations. He said they are going to buy some more lights incoming days and assure that all the street lights will be made functional with in next few days.(KNS)
