LOC firing a conspiracy to derail the NSA level talks: Dulat

Urges India and Pakistan to go ahead for talks

Terming the fresh firing on borders a conspiracy to derail the NSA level talks between India and Pakistan, former Indian Raw Chief A.K Dulat Sunday said that both the countries should go ahead for the NSA level talks scheduled to take place on August 23-24.
In a brief chat to KNS over phone from Pune Dulat said, “See whenever India and Pakistan want to initiate talks for the peace conspires are being hatched to derail it. I suggest both the courtiers to go for the NSA level talks without any delay,” he said.
When asked who is Dulat feels is behind the conspiracies he said it is not the right time to talk on it. “See this is not the right time to say who is behind the conspiracies but let talks begin between India and Pakistan I will speak again to you over the issue,” he said.
The NSA-level talks are expected to take place on 23-24 this month as a follow up to the decisions taken at the Summit meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Pakistan counterpart Nawaz Sharif in Ufa last month.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Interestingly Congress has demanded that the government should call off NSA level talks with Pakistan given the fact that “innocent villagers were being killed in Jammu and Kashmir in ceasefire violations”.
Congress leader and former union minister, Manish Tiwari has said, “Innocent villagers slaughtered by merciless firing. Why NSA level talks under such circumstances? It seems Pakistan armed forces are giving 21 gun salute to manner in which BJP government compromised unity and integrity of India in Ufa.”
It is to mention here that five civilians were killed in the cross LoC shelling in Balakote sector on Saturday.
According to reports another civilian was killed Sunday afternoon, when Indian and Pakistani troops exchanged firing along the LoC. This is the second death which happened Sunday taking the death toll to seven in two days. (KNS)
