Srinagar, June 26 (KNS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday chaired an all-party meeting at Raj Bhawan Srinagar to review the preparations for the upcoming Amarnath Ji Yatra, which begins on July 3.
The meeting was attended by key political leaders including Chief Minister Omar Abdullah; Sat Sharma, Dr. Nirmal Singh, and Kavinder Gupta (BJP); Tara Chand and Ghulam Ahmad Mir (Congress); Showkat Ahmad Mir and Jagdish Singh Azad (National Conference); Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami (CPIM); Sajad Gani Lone (J&K Peoples Conference); Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari (J&K Apni Party); Iltija Mufti (PDP); and Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen Shah (J&K People’s Democratic Front).
The Lieutenant Governor briefed the leaders about the efforts being made by the Amarnath Ji Shrine Board, administration, police, security forces, and all stakeholders to ensure a safe and successful yatra.

He appreciated the valuable suggestions shared by the political leaders and called for their cooperation in making the yatra smooth and hassle-free for all devotees.
“The leaders of all political parties are part of the Jammu and Kashmir family,” the LG added. “It is our socio-cultural responsibility to welcome pilgrims with warmth and ensure the success of the Amarnath Yatra.”
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and other senior leaders pledged their full support for the pilgrimage and reaffirmed its importance to Jammu and Kashmir’s composite culture and local economy.
The leaders also appealed to the people of the region to greet the visiting devotees with hospitality and help make the yatra peaceful and successful.
Condemning the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, the leaders highlighted the unity displayed by the people of Kashmir across political lines. They said this collective stand sent a strong message that violence will not be tolerated in society.(KNS)
