Liberal Democracy Front of KDF has taken strong notice of the way Shiv Sena in Maharashtra wants to hang Yaqoob Menon in hurried manner on 30th July to appease one section of the society. The chairman of Liberal Democratic Front Khwaja Farooq Renzushah has appealed president of India to stop such hurried execution as it is against liberal democracy. He said Congress and NC hanged Afzal Guru in same hurried manner but it proved very costly for them and were wiped out by the people in elections.
He said that one innocent Kashmiri Syed Yaqoob Shah was also accused of serial bomb blasts in Lajpat Nagar in which several persons died and was treated like Afzal Guru.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
However, effective legal proofs and ensuring fair trial by Liberal Democracy movement saved him from gallows. “We have full confidence in our democracy and therefore demand fair trial for all persons of this nature. Hanging of Yaqoob Menon will lower the status of liberal democratic procedures if done in hurried manner to appease vote bank of Shiv Sena .The president of India should ensure fair trial as it was ensured in case of Maqbool shah who was accused of deadly Lajpat Nagar Bomb blasts.” (KNS)
