Says foolproof arrangements in place for upcoming Amaranth pilgrimage; prays for peace and prosperity in J&K

Ganderbal, June 3 (KNS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday visited the historic Kheer Bhawani temple in Ganderbal, where he welcomed devotees attending the annual mela and urged people across the country to take part in the upcoming Amarnath Yatra.

According to KNS, LG Sinha offered prayers at the temple and later told reporters that a large number of devotees, including members of the Kashmiri Pandit community, had come to the shrine. “I pray for peace, prosperity, and progress in Jammu and Kashmir,” LG Sinha said. He added that for the first time since April 26, such a large gathering of devotees had been witnessed at the shrine.

He also spoke about preparations for the Amarnath Yatra and assured that all necessary arrangements have been made. “I urge devotees from across the country to come and seek blessings of Baba Amarnath. We have put in place foolproof security and logistical arrangements,” he said.
