LG Sinha seeks divine blessings at Kheer Bhawani temple, prays for peace in J&K

 Ganderbal, June 22 (KNS) : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today visited the revered Mata Kheer Bhawani Temple at Tulmulla in Ganderbal district on the auspicious occasion of Jyeshtha Ashtami and offered prayers for peace, prosperity and well-being of the people of Jammu Kashmir.

 
The Lt Governor extended his heartfelt greetings to the devotees and expressed hope that the blessings of Mata Ragnya Devi would continue to guide everyone towards harmony, progress and spiritual fulfilment.
 
Interacting with members of the Kashmiri Pandit community, the Lt Governor assured that comprehensive arrangements have been successfully put in place to ensure a seamless and spiritually enriching experience for all pilgrims.
 
The Lt Governor commended the proactive efforts of the local administration and emphasised that the administration remains fully committed to enhancing infrastructure and support services to accommodate the growing influx of devotees from across the nation. He also appreciated all stakeholders for their seamless coordination in organising the annual Mela.
 
During his visit, the Lt Governor also met representatives of various Kashmiri Pandit organisations, PM Package employees and civil society delegations. Speaking to media persons, the Lt Governor said, "Today, I prayed for the well-being, peace and prosperity of all. May the blessings of Mata Kheer Bhawani be upon everyone. This year, the number of devotees visiting the holy shrine is significantly higher compared to previous years. The administration has made comprehensive and foolproof arrangements to ensure the convenience, safety and smooth conduct of the pilgrimage for all devotees."
 
The Lt Governor was accompanied by Shri Atal Dulloo, Chief Secretary; Shri Nalin Prabhat, Director General of Police; Shri Anshul Garg, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir; Shri Jatin Kishore, Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal; Dr Arvind Karwani, Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner; senior officials of police and civil administration, and heads of Kashmiri Pandit organisations.
 
The annual pilgrimage at the Mata Kheer Bhawani Temple holds immense religious significance for the Kashmiri Pandit community, and this year's festivities witnessed an unprecedented turnout of devotees from various parts of the country. The administration has ensured all necessary security arrangements and civic amenities for the convenience of the pilgrims. (KNS)
